Who is Central Texas?
Central Texas is a regional organization of communities in Texas ranging from Austin to San Antonio to Corpus and all areas in between. The larger area organization is South Central that was formed in 2012 when the MKP communities of Houston, North Texas, Central Texas and Louisiana merged together. These four communities bring over 20 years of experience and over 5000 initiated men to the South Central community. The website for South Central is https://southcentral.mkp.org/

Event Submission
As a reminder, please submit information regarding your event using the event submission form. To access the form, please utilize the link found here and you will see the following welcome screen. The sooner we can get information out, the more times we can communicate it and help generate interest. This can include any enrollment events you are hosting and want the community to know about.
NWTA February 2017 Information (Deadlines, Enrollment Events, Brother Dance, Homecoming, etc.) Application deadline to staff the NWTA in February has passed. However, positions for MOS crew may still be available. Please contact Richard Torres if you are interested in MOS and are willing and able to participate. Dates are February 24-26, 2017. This NWTA will be a bi-lingual NWTA – Spanish and English will be offered during the weekend.
Enrollment events will be offered in our community for this NWTA. If you have a want to publicly announce one, have a want to ask for help, or any other information around enrollment events please let communications know via event submission form that can be found hereor in the event heading above. Brother Dance for February NWTA will be 02/25. Flyer and contact information is forthcoming. Support new brothers, staff brothers, and join in the celebration of initiation to New Warrior.
Homecoming, if previous trend holds, is scheduled for March 2nd, 2017. Flyer and contact information is forthcoming. Make plans now to attend, support, and welcome home the new brothers.
NWTA April 2017 Information (Deadlines, Enrollment Events, Brother Dance, Homecoming, etc.)
Staff application for NWTA staff are due 01/29/2017. April NWTA will be April 7th – 9th. To apply, log into MKPConnect, click trainings/events link, then staffing opportunities, search for the NWTA you are applying for, and click apply. MOS availability is also open and MOS king is TBD. For further information regarding MOS, please contact Richard Torres.

LKS (Lodge Keeper Society) Event
February 3rd – 5th is a LKS work weekend to rebuild the Purification and Renewal lodge. Initiated men are welcomed to participate. This invitation is two part – harvesting willow standing relative and rebuilding/ ceremony. Details of each part is as follows.
Harvesting Willow – If you intend on assisting with harvest of standing relative, please contact David Rivertree (email here) for coordination purposes and what to bring/expect. This will occur at 4 PM on 02/03 weather permitting. When this is complete, men will depart to LOMG and obtain meal along the way. Permission has been allowed to stay at LOMG this night.
Rebuilding/Ceremony – Any man who wishes may attend the rebuilding and ceremony with no previous check in requested. The loge will be rebuilt and ceremony will be to follow. LOMG will NOT be providing meals so if it is your intent to be present, you are responsible to bring your own nourishment and to clean after.
